Pip the Sleepy Bunny

In a burrow lined with dandelion fluff lived a little bunny named Pip. Pip had hopped all day — over puddles, under ferns, around the old oak tree three whole times.

Now the sun was tucking itself behind the hills, and Pip's paws felt heavy as river stones. Mama Bunny smoothed his ears. "Shall we count the things we loved today?" she asked softly.

"One warm patch of sun," whispered Pip. "Two butterflies. Three clover flowers. Four splashes in the brook…"

By five, Pip's eyes were closing. By six, he was dreaming of meadows full of glowing flowers, hopping gently into the softest sleep a bunny ever knew.
